Squad Busters, Supercell's latest MOBA RTS, has impressively garnered over 40 million installs and raked in $24 million in net revenue within its first thirty days. The game has been particularly successful in the United States, which leads the player count, closely followed by Indonesia, Brazil, Turkey, and South Korea.
Despite these strong numbers, there are signs of concern for Supercell. Since its launch, spending has declined, and the net revenue of $24 million falls short of the $43 million that Brawl Stars achieved in its first month back in 2018. Clash Royale, launched in 2016, soared even higher with over $115 million in its initial thirty days. Moreover, the number of installs for Squad Busters has also dwindled, starting at a peak of 30 million in the first week and dropping to below five million by the end of the month.
**Is there Supercell fatigue?** The diminishing returns on Squad Busters suggest that Supercell may be facing a bit of audience fatigue. Even with high expectations for this title, the performance pales in comparison to other mobile hits like Honkai Star Rail, which earned $190 million in its first month. Squad Busters fits snugly into the existing Supercell niche, leading to speculation about whether players are tiring of similar game mechanics and styles.
Only time will tell how Squad Busters continues to perform.
