This free application supports 31 languages and features a user-friendly interface, allowing you to verify translation accuracy easily.

■Key Features:

VoiceTra employs advanced speech recognition, translation, and voice synthesis technologies developed by the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT). It converts your speech into different languages and delivers results through synthesized voice output.

The translation direction can be switched instantly, enabling two people speaking different languages to communicate using a single device.

Text input is available for languages that don't support speech input.

VoiceTra is optimized for travel-related conversations and recommended for these situations and locations:

・Transportation: Bus, train, car rental, taxi, airport, transit

・Shopping: Dining, retail, payments

・Hotel: Check-in, check-out, cancellations

・Sightseeing: International travel, serving foreign customers

*VoiceTra also functions as a disaster prevention and emergency response application.

While VoiceTra can be used as a dictionary for individual words, we recommend inputting complete sentences as it interprets meaning from context to produce accurate translations.

Some features or the entire application may become unavailable during server maintenance or outages.

Users are responsible for all communication charges. International roaming fees can be particularly expensive.

This application was developed for research purposes, intended for individual testing during travel, and uses research-oriented servers. Server data collection helps improve speech translation technologies.

While business testing is permitted, consider using licensed commercial services for continuous commercial use.
