Game Director Guangyun Chen revealed significant team-up skill modifications during a March 14 PC Gamer interview. "Season 2 will introduce new collaborative abilities while refining existing ones," Chen explained. "These changes, combined with seasonal balancing, will refresh combat dynamics."

The current roster features 17 synergistic combos including Hela's Ragnarok Rebirth with Thor/Loki, Cloak & Dagger's Lunar Force with Moon Knight, and Hawkeye/Black Widow's Allied Agents. With Marvel Rivals' expanding character pool, achieving perfect balance presents an increasing challenge for developers.

Hero Balancing Approach

Chen detailed NetEase's data-driven balancing methodology: "We meticulously track performance metrics across all game modes - analyzing win rates, pick rates, damage output, healing statistics, and more. These insights guide our adjustments alongside community feedback and lineup compositions."

The studio maintains ambitious character release plans - introducing eight new heroes annually through bimonthly updates within the game's seasonal structure. Chen confirmed robust long-term support, stating, "Seasons 2-4 content is already in active development, ensuring seamless updates for our decade-long roadmap."

Spider-Punk 2099 and Steampunk Iron Man Arrive March 20

NetEase unveiled electrifying new alternate costumes via Twitter on March 18. Launching March 20 at 7 PM PDT, Spider-Punk 2099 features a cyberpunk aesthetic with an electric guitar weapon, while Iron Man's Steampunk variant showcases industrial furnace plating and mechanical exhausts.

These highly anticipated cosmetics mirror beta-test exclusives, following the recent release of Loki's Presidential attire. Though pricing remains undisclosed, their arrival marks exciting pre-season content before Marvel Rivals' substantial Season 2 overhaul.
