Umamusume: Pretty Derby is galloping towards its English debut, set to launch globally on June 26, 2025. Developer Cygames shared this exciting news on Twitter (X) on April 27, with pre-registrations kicking off the following day on April 28.

Originally launched in Japan on February 24, 2021, for iOS, Android, and PC, the game offers a unique blend of racing and idol culture. In Umamusume: Pretty Derby, legendary racehorses are reborn as "horse girls" or "Umamusume," who look like high school girls but possess the ears, tails, and athletic prowess of horses. These characters train at Tokyo's Tracen Academy, striving to become renowned racers and idols.

According to the game's Steam page, Umamusume: Pretty Derby lets players "scout featured trainees and supporters as you navigate the immersive sports life simulation through the game’s in-depth training system and top-of-the-line 3D graphics!" The game features a gacha system where players can scout and train over 20 different Uma Musumes, competing in races and dazzling audiences with their performances.

In March 2025, PocketGamer.biz reported that the Japanese version of Umamusume: Pretty Derby amassed over $2.5 billion in mobile revenue within just four years.
