Rust Unveils Major Update with Improved Cooking, Farming Features

Rust, the renowned multiplayer survival game, has recently unveiled a significant update known as The Crafting Update. This patch revolutionizes player creativity with a plethora of new features. One of the standout additions is the culinary workbench, where survivors can now indulge in grilling chicken legs and sipping on Siberian vodka. Crafting these dishes involves following specific recipes, and well-prepared meals grant stat boosts and modifiers, enhancing the gameplay experience.

In addition, players can now keep chickens and chicks in coops, where these birds will live, lay eggs, and flourish if properly cared for. Each chick has four crucial attributes: Hunger, Thirst, Love, and Sunlight. Failing to meet any of these needs can lead to the birds' demise. The meat harvested from chickens is perishable and will spoil unless kept in a working refrigerator. A handy feature is the addition of timers on food items, clearly indicating their expiration dates.

For those with a penchant for sweets, wild beehives can now be discovered on trees. Extracting honeycombs and transferring them to player-crafted hives made from wooden boxes requires careful handling. Bees are a formidable challenge, so players must don protective suits, douse themselves with water, or resort to using flamethrowers to avoid stings. A novel weapon, the Bee Grenade, mimics a jar of honey, and when broken, it unleashes three swarms of aggressive bees, prompting players to scatter for safety.

The engineering workbench has undergone a complete overhaul, introducing a dedicated tech tree for plumbing and electricity. This enables players to construct automated systems and even entire factories. Furthermore, developers have introduced premium servers, exclusively accessible to players whose Rust inventory is valued at a minimum of $15. This initiative is designed to weed out cheaters and disruptive players, ensuring a more seamless and enjoyable experience for dedicated gamers.
