Split Fiction Arrives March 6 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC

Hazelight Studios, creators of It Takes Two, will launch their new cooperative sci-fi adventure Split Fiction on March 6 for $49.99. The game is currently available for preorder at major retailers. As with Hazelight's previous titles, every purchase includes a free Friend's Pass enabling cooperative online play without requiring a second copy.

Friend's Pass Explained

Split Fiction is designed exclusively for two-player co-op, with both split-screen local and online multiplayer options. The free Friend's Pass allows one player to invite another across platforms - even between consoles and PC - without needing a second purchase.

When the game launches on March 6, friends can download the free Friend's Pass version to join players who own the full game. This system mirrors Hazelight's previous titles It Takes Two and A Way Out. Note that Friend's Pass users can only play when invited by someone with the full game.

About Split Fiction

This cooperative action-adventure follows two writers - one specializing in science fiction, the other in fantasy - who become trapped in their own fictional worlds. Players work together through hybrid sci-fi/fantasy environments featuring unique mechanics per genre:
