Alarmo: Game-ified Wake-Up Calls

The Alarmo's unique selling point? It only stops ringing once you're out of bed. Nintendo cleverly frames this as a "brief victory fanfare," acknowledging the daily struggle. You can try waving your hand to quieten it, but prolonged slumber will only increase the alarm's intensity. Early Access and Availability

Nintendo Switch Online members in the US and Canada get early access via the My Nintendo Store for a limited time. The Nintendo New York store also offers in-person purchases at launch.

A Secret Switch Online Playtest

Beyond the Alarmo, Nintendo announced a Switch Online playtest, running from October 23rd to November 5th. Applications open October 10th – 15th, with up to 10,000 participants selected. This test focuses on a new Nintendo Switch Online service feature. Applicants must:

• Have an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership by October 9th, 2024, 3:00 PM PDT.
• Be at least 18 years old by October 9th, 2024, 3:00 PM PDT.
• Have a Nintendo Account registered in Japan, the US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, or Spain.
