Pokémon GO enthusiasts, mark your calendars! The Sweet Discoveries event is rolling out, and it's your chance to meet the adorable Applin for the first time in the game. This event is a must-attend for anyone keen on expanding their Pokémon collection or hunting for those elusive shiny Pokémon. Let's dive into the details of this exciting event.
When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?
The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and will delight players until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. The highlight is undoubtedly the debut of Applin, a charming Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon hailing from the Galar region.
To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. If you're aiming for Appletun, the same amount of candies plus 20 Sweet Apples are required. For its final evolution into Dipplin, and ultimately Hydrapple, keep an eye on future updates for specific requirements.
Here's a tip for gathering those essential Apples: they'll appear in the wild during the event. When you tap on them, you might encounter a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Your chances of finding Apples increase significantly around Mossy Lure Modules.
Did You Know?
Applin is unique because it spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly disguising itself from its natural predators, bird Pokémon. This clever tactic makes Applin one of the cutest Pokémon in the entire roster of Pokémon GO.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, don't miss out on the new avatar items available in the shop, such as the Applin Headband and the Applin Apron. Additionally, enjoy the event bonuses, including 2× Candy for catching Pokémon, enhancing your collection efforts.
The event also increases your chances of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild. Furthermore, there's a higher likelihood of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs.
A sweet addition to the event is the berries dropped by Delibird and Skwovet upon capture. So, if you haven't already, grab Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store and join in on the fun.
