Genshin Impact's fifth anniversary is approaching, and developer miHoYo is celebrating in style with a major content update. Version Luna I: A Dance of Snowy Tides and Hoarfrost Groves introduces a new region, three playable characters, and a host of anniversary rewards.
The highlight is the arrival of Nod-Krai, Teyvat's seventh major region. A fresh storyline plunges you into conflict against the Fatui Harbinger Marionette and her plots to harness lunar power. New allies will join your journey, with some becoming permanent additions to your team.
These three new characters include the five-star Catalyst user, Lauma the Moonchanter, and the five-star polearm wielder, Flins. They are joined by Aino, a four-star Claymore user. Each character possesses potent abilities, including new Lunar Reactions.

The new characters also feature unique environmental interactions; for instance, having Lauma in your party can cause nearby animals to offer assistance. However, the most anticipated addition for many is the Meeting Points feature, which offers a glimpse into the daily lives of your favorite characters when they're not adventuring.
This expansive update doesn't overshadow the fifth-anniversary celebrations. As part of the festivities, you can claim a free five-star character from the Standard Wish, along with ascension materials to raise them to level 60. Login rewards include 10 Intertwined Fate, 1,600 Primogems, two special Nod-Krai-themed gadgets via in-game mail, and more.
The celebration continues with the return of the Genshin Impact Fan Art Special Programme. Titled "Parallels Meet," it will premiere on September 20th across YouTube, TikTok, and other platforms, showcasing fan creations from around the globe.
