Tute Cabrero

Tute Cabrero is a highly popular card game enjoyed throughout South America.

Played by three to five participants, Tute Cabrero is an every-player-for-themselves game with no teams.

The goal is to collect the most or the fewest points ("go to more" or "go to less"); the player in second place loses. The game uses a 40-card Spanish deck.

Card rankings, from highest to lowest, are: Ace (11 points), 3 (10 points), King (4 points), Knight (3 points), Jack (2 points), 7, 6, 5, 4, and 2 (these have no point value).

The first card played in a trick sets the suit, and players must follow suit if possible. If a player cannot follow suit, they may play any card. The trump suit always wins the trick. Without a trump card, the highest card of the leading suit wins.
