READY! for Kindergarten

READY! for Kindergarten is the leading school readiness program available.

READY! for Kindergarten is the flagship school readiness initiative from The Children's Reading Foundation, created for children aged 2 to 5 or for older children who may need support in foundational skills.

The READY! for Kindergarten app prepares your child for all future learning and school success through interactive gameplay. Each game focuses on developing a specific core skill. These games are designed for repeated play, as young children learn best through hundreds of loving, supportive repetitions.

Tap the "i" icon in the lower right corner of any game to learn more about the specific skill it teaches.

As your child plays, the app sends data to the reports section, allowing you to track progress in each skill area. The reports compare your child's achievement with other U.S. children of a similar age, helping you identify and focus on areas needing extra attention.

For children aged 2 to 5, our app's games teach skills like singing the ABC song, matching letter shapes, pronouncing letter sounds, expanding vocabulary, counting to 30, and recognizing emotions.

The READY! program is built on 26 Age-Level Targets—measurable skills a typical 5-year-old should master before starting kindergarten. These research-based targets were developed by early learning experts through seven years of collaboration with families, scientists, and educators.

READY! for Kindergarten received a Top 100 Award from District Administration Magazine in 2013.
