2. Repeat this process for buttons 2, 3, and 4, entering each digit sequentially.
3. Confirm your entry using the appropriate button (5, *, or > depending on your radio model. For example, Ford 6000CD uses 5, Sony uses *, and most VW, Audi, Skoda, and Seat models use >).

Troubleshooting SAFE/LOCKED/WAIT/ERROR Messages:

All radios have anti-theft measures. Excessive incorrect code attempts will result in a lockout.

• Ford: "WAIT" requires leaving the radio on for 30 minutes. "LOCKED" or "LOCKED10" requires holding button 6 for ten seconds. "LOCKED13" indicates a semi-permanent block requiring dealer intervention.
• VW/Volkswagen: Three incorrect attempts result in "SAFE" or "SAFE2". Leave the unit on for 60 minutes to retry.
