Palace - Free Classic Card Game (Also Known as Shed, Karma, or "OG")

Palace was the most popular card game in our study halls and cafeterias when I was in high school during the 90s. Wikipedia notes its popularity among backpackers, contributing to its widespread appeal.

Challenge eight distinct computer characters, each with a unique playing style, or compete live against your friends.

Basic Rules:

Each player receives three 'face-down cards.' You cannot look at or change these until the game's final stage. Next, three 'face-up cards' are placed on top. Finally, each player is dealt three cards to form their hand. You may swap cards from your 'hand' with your 'face-up cards' if you wish.

The player with a 3, or the next lowest card, begins the game.

On your turn, you must discard a card (or multiple cards of the same rank) equal to or higher than the top card on the pickup pile. Then, draw from the deck to maintain at least three cards in your hand (unless the deck is empty or you already have three or more cards).

2s and 10s are wild cards. A 2 resets the pile, while a 10 clears it. Four of a kind also clears the pile, similar to a 10.

If you cannot play a card equal to or higher than the top card, or a wild card, you must pick up the entire pile.

When your hand is empty and the deck is depleted, begin playing your face-up cards. Once all face-up cards are played, proceed to your face-down cards.

The first player to discard all their cards wins.

Palace is also sometimes called Shed, Karma, or "OG".
