WoW Unveils Schedule for Second Turbulent Timeways Event

World of Warcraft has just announced the schedule for the latest Turbulent Timeways event, featuring seven consecutive weeks of Timewalking campaigns. From now until February 24, players will dive into every Timewalking expansion, offering opportunities to earn new rewards, amass Timewarped Badges, and enjoy a significant experience buff.

Introduced in September 2023, the Turbulent Timeways event initially ran for five weeks, providing players with regular quests and activities alongside a stackable buff. By completing four Timewalking dungeons, players could activate the Mastery of Timeways buff, granting a 20% experience boost. Those who earned this buff across all five weeks unlocked the Master of the Turbulent Timeways achievement and the Sandy Shalewing pet.

The event returns with an expanded seven-week lineup, starting with Mists of Pandaria on January 7 and concluding with Cataclysm the week of February 18. Each week, players will engage in a different Timewalking campaign, complete with standard quests, dungeons, and raids, and the return of the stackable Mastery of Timeways buff.

Players who achieve Mastery of Timeways for five out of these seven weeks will unlock the Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2 achievement and receive the charming Timely Buzzbee mount. Timewalking vendors for each expansion will offer new permanent items, such as Season of Discovery-themed transmogs at the Classic vendor, and the Sandy Shalewing for those who missed the previous event. Additionally, the Cache of Nerubian Treasures, awarded for completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest, will provide Heroic gear during the event.

Following the recent 20th anniversary event, which featured 11 weeks of Timewalking campaigns, the Turbulent Timeways will extend this to a total of 18 consecutive weeks of Timewalking.

The end date of the Turbulent Timeways also hints at upcoming plans for World of Warcraft. With the last campaign ending on February 24, and considering the usual eight-week release cycle, February 25 is likely to mark the release of World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, titled "Undermined," just 10 weeks after Patch 11.0.7. With Turbulent Timeways, the second run of Plunderstorm from January 14 through February 17, and the first major content update for The War Within shortly afterward, World of Warcraft is set to start 2025 with a flurry of exciting updates.
