While World of Warcraft's 20th Anniversary event has concluded, exciting activities continue! The Turbulent Timeways event, previously featured during Dragonflight, offers a unique opportunity for players awaiting Patch 11.1. This event rewards players who consistently maintain the Mastery of Timeways buff.
Turbulent Timeways Event Details
Unlike typical Timewalking events, Turbulent Timeways features five consecutive weeks of Timewalking dungeons (January 1st to February 25th), each focusing on a different expansion. The schedule is as follows:
- Week 1: Mists of Pandaria (January 7th-14th)
- Week 2: Warlords of Draenor (January 14th-21st)
- Week 3: Legion (January 21st-28th)
- Week 4: Classic (January 28th-February 4th)
- Week 5: The Burning Crusade (February 4th-11th)
- Week 6: Wrath of the Lich King (February 11th-18th)
- Week 7: Cataclysm (February 18th-25th)
Completing a Timewalking dungeon grants a "Knowledge of Timeways" buff (two-hour duration, persists through death), providing a 5% experience bonus. Four stacks of this buff upgrade to "Mastery of Timeways" (three-hour duration, persists through death), granting a 30% experience bonus. Completing another Timewalking dungeon refreshes the buff timer. To obtain Mastery of Timeways, maintain four stacks of Knowledge of Timeways without letting them expire. Avoid extended AFK periods to prevent losing stacks.
Turbulent Timeways Rewards
Beyond the leveling benefits, Turbulent Timeways offers valuable rewards. The Sandy Shalewing mount, previously available, returns, purchasable for 5,000 Timewarped Badges from Timewalking Vendors.
Additionally, a new mount, the Timely Buzzbee, is obtainable by achieving the Mastery of Timeways buff during five of the seven event weeks.
