It’s been quite some time since we last checked in on Ubisoft, hasn’t it? Well, get ready—next Thursday marks the release of *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, a title whose performance could play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company.

Today, Ubisoft’s official YouTube channel dropped a brand-new video spotlighting the game. At first glance, you might mistake it for a launch trailer—but the label says otherwise. It's officially tagged as a TV commercial, which naturally sparks some curiosity.

Let’s be clear: the video itself isn’t the problem. Far from it. It’s sleek, cinematic, and visually polished. The concern lies more in the marketing strategy than the content. Why is a TV ad being distributed through an official gaming channel? That choice feels a bit unusual, even if it’s just a minor observation. It doesn’t necessarily signal trouble, but it does raise eyebrows.

Putting that aside, the video effectively highlights the gameplay contrast between the two protagonists. The depiction of Japan is breathtaking, no doubt. However, one beautifully crafted minute of cinematic footage doesn’t define an entire game. As always, the real test will come once the game launches and players get their hands on it. Until then, we wait with cautious optimism.
