Generating considerable pre-release buzz, Threads of Time is poised to rival Sea of Stars as a spiritual successor to Square Enix's Chrono series. This retro-style RPG from indie developer Riyo Games promises a captivating blend of classic charm and modern polish.

"Riyo Games aims to create retro-inspired RPGs that evoke cherished childhood memories," the studio stated in its press release. "Our journey began with a childhood promise—two friends playing RPGs on a CRT TV, vowing to one day create epic adventures together."

Boasting stunning 2.5D pixel art, Threads of Time features a diverse cast of characters from various eras. Players will journey through centuries, from the age of dinosaurs to a futuristic world of robots, uncovering a sinister plot that threatens the very fabric of time. The game will also include high-quality anime cutscenes to enhance the narrative experience.
