Saber Interactive has confirmed that all its previously announced titles remain in active development, even for high-profile projects like the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake that have gone quiet.

Following the reveal of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3, Saber's Chief Creative Officer Tim Willits took to Twitter to reassure fans that every announced project is still progressing.

"As one of the world's largest independent developers, Saber Interactive is currently working on multiple games across diverse genres," Willits stated. "All previously discussed titles are still in development. We'll share updates when we have exciting news to reveal."

The most notable subject of Willits' remarks is undoubtedly the KOTOR remake, which has become one of gaming's most mysterious projects. First announced in 2021, the highly anticipated remake has changed developers multiple times, experienced development halts and restarts, and remains unseen after four years.

In April 2024, Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch confirmed the studio retained development rights to KOTOR after separating from Embracer Group, emphasizing the project's ongoing progress.

"Our work on this project is unquestionable," he stated. "While it's received extensive media coverage, I can confirm the game is progressing well. We're committed to delivering an experience that surpasses fan expectations."

Willits' recent statement reaffirms Karch's earlier comments. However, the KOTOR remake remains unseen beyond its initial announcement trailer.

Saber's development slate includes several other projects, with some scheduled for release this year. While John Carpenter's Toxic Commando and Jurassic Park Survival are targeting 2025 launch windows, neither has a confirmed date. The studio is also developing a new Turok entry and an unannounced Avatar: The Last Airbender title.
