Sony Unveils Sleek Midnight Black PlayStation 5 Accessories

Sony has unveiled its highly anticipated Midnight Black Collection for the PlayStation 5, adding a touch of dark elegance to the gaming experience. This collection includes four premium accessories: the DualSense Edge wireless controller, PlayStation Portal handheld remote player, Pulse Elite wireless headset, and Pulse Explore wireless earbuds.

All accessories, except the headset, are priced at $199.99. The Pulse Elite headset is priced slightly lower at $149.99. Pre-orders begin January 16th, 2025, with a full launch on February 20th, 2025, exclusively through direct.playstation.com.

This release follows Sony's previous color variations for the DualSense controller, expanding on the popular Midnight Black design. The new collection provides a sophisticated, dark aesthetic for gamers. The DualSense Edge controller, in particular, boasts a modern design and includes a dedicated black carrying case.

The Pulse Elite headset, while more expensive than its predecessor, offers enhanced features and comes with a felt gray carrying case (along with the earbuds). The Pulse Explore earbuds, also priced at $199.99, offer premium in-ear audio.

Beyond the Midnight Black Collection, Sony continues to expand its range of themed DualSense controllers. The recently released Helldivers 2 limited-edition controller is a prime example, showcasing the diverse design options available. This controller is currently available for pre-order.
