
Pokémon TCG Pocket is gearing up for a dazzling update with the introduction of Shiny Pokémon! Adding a vibrant twist, The Pokémon Company has revealed that Shiny variants will debut in the digital card game through the Shining Revelry expansion.
When Will Shiny Pokémon Debut in Pokémon TCG Pocket?
The Shining Revelry expansion launches on March 27th, 2025, bringing over 110 new cards. Players can collect Shiny versions of popular cards like Charizard ex, Lucario ex, and Pachirisu.
The digital format enhances their appeal with a shimmering effect when tilted. Starting April 1st, a Shiny Charizard-themed display board and binder will also be available.
Beyond Shiny Pokémon, characters and Trainers from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will join the game, including cards featuring Tatsugiri, Sprigatito, and Iono.
From March 28th to April 27th, new ex Starter Deck missions will offer players a chance to earn a deck ticket, redeemable for one of nine starter decks. Don’t miss the first wave of Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon TCG Pocket!
Shiny Pokémon have long been a staple of Pokémon TCG, first appearing in the Neo Destiny set during the second generation. The Hidden Fates set later redefined modern Shiny cards with its expansive Shiny Vault.
Ranked Matches Arrive in Pokémon TCG Pocket
Ranked matches are set to launch on March 28th, running through April 27th, featuring Shining Revelry cards. Players will compete against opponents of similar skill levels.
