Indie studio Happy Broccoli Games has returned Duck Detective to Android with the latest chapter: Ghost Glamping. The mystery adventure first launched on PC last May. Just like before, you’ll slip back into the shoes of Eugene McQuacklin.
Duck Detective: Ghost Glamping drops Eugene McQuacklin back into work
Eugene’s life now revolves around sharing an apartment with Freddy Frederson—cheerful, well-intentioned, and wildly out of touch with fashion. To lift his spirits, Freddy drags the brooding detective off to a glamping retreat deep in the woods.
At the campsite, a string of odd mishaps and strange occurrences unfold. But what he’s investigating matters less than the emotional baggage he carries: a messy divorce and a creeping obsession with white, fluffy bread that’s long outgrown mere snack habits.
Meanwhile, the campground might be haunted. And he’s stuck with a new partner he never asked for. This reluctant duo forms the heart of the mystery as they piece together clues and scrape together whatever scraps of justice they can find.
The game is shorter than its predecessor, clocking in at about 2 to 3 hours. With its cozy-mystery vibe, it balances eerie supernatural hints with heartfelt character drama. Every suspect is fully voiced, and the writing continues to gently mock classic noir tropes.
A duck who keeps trying to swear off white fluffy bread -------------------------------------------------------You question suspects, examine crime scenes with a magnifying glass, complete fragmented text to build deductions, and carry evidence in a worn notebook. If you’d rather just enjoy the story, a relaxed Story Mode eases the puzzle challenge.
Happy Broccoli Games is the Berlin-based indie studio behind the series. Mobile players can try the first 15 minutes for free before choosing to unlock the full game. Find it on the Google Play Store.
