Duck Detective: Ghost Glamping – A Cozy Mystery Returns to Android
Indie studio Happy Broccoli Games has once again dipped into the quack-tastic world of detective work with the release of Duck Detective: Ghost Glamping on Android. The latest chapter in the beloved mystery series brings back Eugene McQuacklin, the brooding, magnifying-glass-wielding duck with a soft spot for white, fluffy bread and a heart full of unresolved drama.
Originally debuting on PC in May 2023, Ghost Glamping continues the quirky, noir-tinged adventure with a fresh twist—this time, set deep in the woods at a suspiciously haunted glamping retreat. Eugene, still navigating the emotional fallout of a messy divorce, is dragged out of his self-imposed isolation by his relentlessly upbeat roommate, Freddy Frederson.
Freddy’s idea of a weekend getaway? A remote glamping site full of moss-covered yurts, cryptic clues, and an eerie atmosphere that feels… just a little too real. As strange events pile up—mysterious disappearances, midnight whispers, and a campfire that won’t stay lit—Eugene must once again put on his trench coat and detective hat.
But this time, he’s not alone. A new partner is thrust upon him—someone he didn’t ask for, but who might just help him face his past. Together, they unravel a mystery that’s as much about friendship and healing as it is about catching a ghost (or two).
What’s New in Ghost Glamping?
- Shorter but sweeter: At just 2–3 hours, this chapter is more concise than its predecessor, making it perfect for a cozy evening of storytelling.
- Fully voiced cast: Every suspect, from the overly dramatic camp chef to the eccentric hermit with a pet raccoon, delivers lines with charm and wit.
- Puzzle meets pathos: Players use a magnifying glass to examine crime scenes, piece together fragmented notes, and carry clues in Eugene’s trusty, battered notebook. But don’t expect just logic—emotions drive the narrative as much as deduction.
- Two modes to suit your mood:
- Classic Mode: Challenge your brain with clever puzzles and deduction.
- Story Mode: Skip the head-scratching and simply enjoy the narrative—perfect for fans who love a good tale over a tough case.
With its gentle mockery of noir clichés, warm humor, and hauntingly beautiful art, Ghost Glamping strikes a delicate balance between eerie mystery and heartfelt connection. And yes—Eugene still can’t stop thinking about that bread.
