McCann is taking on this role following the untimely passing of Ray Stevenson, who originally portrayed Baylan. Ray Stevenson, known for his roles in Thor, RRR, Punisher: War Zone, Rome, and many more, tragically passed away due to a brief illness just three months before Ahsoka's premiere. Stevenson's performance as Baylan was widely regarded as one of the highlights of the series.
