Fans of the time-twisting RPG Reverse: 1999 have much to look forward to with an upcoming livestream scheduled for April 18th. This event promises an exciting preview of the version 2.5 update titled 'Showdown in Chinatown,' as well as additional details on the game's 1.5th anniversary celebrations.
The livestream, engagingly hosted by Captain Regulus and the new character Officer Liang Yue in chibi form, will not only showcase the upcoming content but also feature exciting giveaways. Viewers can participate in competitions to win codes and even a coveted Nintendo Switch 2.
For those already familiar with the Chinese version, 'Showdown in Chinatown' is set to pay homage to Hong Kong martial arts cinema, weaving a thrilling crime narrative around the pursuit of an arcanist vigilante. The update introduces Officer Liang Yue, a martial artist infiltrating the film set of Noire, a wheelchair-bound director known for her unique puppeteering abilities. Additionally, Loggerhead, a character with a camera for a head, will also make an appearance.
While the livestream will clarify how much of this content will be available in international versions, fans can expect plenty of nods to classics from the Shaw Brothers and John Woo in version 2.5.
