Niantic has unveiled the exciting details for Pokémon GO Fest 2025, including dates and locations. This article covers the upcoming Fest and two additional January events.

Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration

Announced on January 6th, 2025, Pokémon GO Fest 2025 is a three-day extravaganza spanning three global cities:

• Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
• Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
• Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th

A World of Pokémon Awaits

Pokémon GO Fest offers exclusive items, gameplay enhancements, and bonuses for trainers worldwide. In-person events in each city provide unique experiences and require ticket purchases.

Expect rare Pokémon encounters unavailable through standard gameplay – think along the lines of Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow (as seen in 2024). Shiny Pokémon will also have increased spawn rates, varying by location.

In-person attendees can enjoy exclusive merchandise, themed sets, community hubs, and team lounges for socializing. While specifics for 2025 remain under wraps, expect a similar format to previous years.

January Events: Fashion Week and Shadow Raid Day

Beyond the Fest, Niantic announced two more exciting events for January 2025:

Fashion Week: Taken Over:

• Date: January 15th, 2025 (12:00 pm) – January 19th, 2025 (8:00 pm) local time.
• Features: Shadow Palkia rescue, Shroodle and Grafaiai debuts (12km Eggs), other Shadow Pokémon appearances, and a fashionable Croagunk encounter via snapshots.

Shadow Raid Day (Ho-Oh):

• Date: January 19th, 2025 (2:00 pm – 5:00 pm) local time.
• Features: Five-Star Shadow Raids for Shadow Ho-Oh. A $5 USD ticket grants eight Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL chances, 2x Stardust, 50% more XP from Raids, and a boosted Shiny Ho-Oh encounter rate. Lucky trainers can teach their captured Ho-Oh the Sacred Fire charged move using a Charged TM.
