Persona 5: The Phantom X Global Android Pre-Registration Now Open

Persona 5: The Phantom X is set to captivate the global gaming community, with pre-registrations now live on Android platforms. Initially announced for a June 26th, 2025, release in Japan, the game will now debut simultaneously across the globe.

A year ago, the game premiered in China, followed by launches in Taiwan, South Korea, Macau, and Hong Kong, where it’s accessible on Android, iOS, and PC. SEGA and Atlus are ensuring a comprehensive worldwide rollout, developed by Black Wing Game Studio in collaboration with former Persona 5 developers.

Phantom X operates on a free-to-play model, featuring a gacha system to summon diverse characters for your team. The global version will include Japanese voiceovers and options for English or Japanese subtitles. Excited fans can pre-register on the Google Play Store and watch the exclusive trailer here.

The storyline places players in the role of a brand-new protagonist leading a group of Phantom Thieves through a stylized modern Tokyo, exploring new palaces and mementos. Combining social simulation elements with dungeon exploration, the game retains the classic turn-based combat and dual-life mechanics. Additional features include a guild system, PvE mode called Velvet Trials, and appearances by familiar Persona 5 characters.

The narrative begins with the protagonist awakening from a disturbing dream to discover a distorted reality. Along the journey, players encounter a talking owl named Lefaye and revisit the enigmatic Velvet Room with its eccentric inhabitants.
