Nintendo Switch 2 Preorders Begin April 9

Nintendo has officially announced that preorders for the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 will begin on April 9 in the United States and April 8 in the UK. The console will be available for purchase starting June 5, 2025, and will retail for $449.99. The full reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2 today has sparked excitement among gamers everywhere.

For fans eager to dive into the action, there's a Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle available at a suggested retail price of $499.99 in the US. This bundle includes the system and a download code for the Mario Kart World game, ready on launch day, June 5. If you prefer to buy Mario Kart World separately, be prepared for a price tag of $79.99.

Currently, you can register your interest with Nintendo to receive notifications about preorders for the Nintendo Switch 2 and its accessories via the My Nintendo Store. Priority for invitations will be given to users with a 12-month Nintendo Switch Online membership and at least 50 gameplay hours as of April 2, 2025. Invitations will be sent out on a first-come, first-served basis via email. These invites are valid for 72 hours and are non-transferable. You can purchase one system and one of each accessory per account. All major retailers are expected to open preorders on April 9, 2025, as well.
