In *Atomfall*, Atomic Batteries are the cornerstone of the game, essential for progressing through the story and incredibly useful for bartering. Here’s how you can secure these vital items in *Atomfall*.
How To Find Atomic Batteries With Leads in Atomfall
To advance the main storyline in *Atomfall*, you need to find Atomic Batteries and deposit them at The Interchange. Fortunately, the game provides several Leads to guide you to these batteries:
- “A Fruitful Trade” indicates that the Reverend obtained his Atomic Battery from a trader named Molly, located west of Wyndham Village. Molly has another battery and is particularly interested in trading for Molotov Cocktails.
- “Batteries and All” suggests that druids in Casterfell Woods might possess Atomic Batteries. Head southwest into the Druids’ Camp, navigate to a door flanked by two blue fire torches, and enter the Castle Ruins. The battery awaits next to a High Priestess overlooking a valley.
- “Battery Request at the Skethermoor Depot” points to a battery at the Skethermoor Vehicle Depot, southeast of Skethermoor at coordinates 43.4 E, 74.6 N. Find a blue hatch near two greenhouses on a hill, enter, clear out any Outlaws, and follow the path to a room with a red light. Squeeze through a vent to find a key, then use it to unlock the room with the Atomic Battery. Remember to take Radiation Resistance before entering.
- “Molly Sold a Battery to the Vicar” reveals that Molly sold another battery to the vicar at St. Katherine’s Church in Wyndham Village. This lead can be ignored if you've already secured the Reverend’s battery.
- “Revered Got His Hands on a Battery” directs you to the Reverend in St. Katherine’s Church, who possesses a battery. If you promise to keep silent about a murder he's covering up, you can blackmail him for the key to his chest upstairs, where the battery is stored.
- “Spare Batteries at the Dam” leads you to the Dam in Casterfell Woods at coordinates 20.9 E, 90.9 N. The battery is in the electrical area on the ground to the right when facing the dam. Enter the Control Room, pull the Substation Override lever until the right light turns red to power down the electricity, and safely retrieve the battery.
Can You Barter for Batteries in Atomfall? Answered
If you're struggling to find Atomic Batteries, bartering is a viable alternative. Molly, and potentially other traders, may offer batteries, as their inventory rotates periodically. When bartering, traders may show a preference for certain items, indicated by green, yellow, or red icons, with green being the most favored. Experimenting with different items can help you secure a better deal for Atomic Batteries.
How To Extract Atomic Batteries from Robots in Atomfall
In *Atomfall*, the Protocol deploys large, armored robots throughout the Zone. These robots, often guarding critical areas or patrolling, are powered by Atomic Batteries. To extract a battery, target flamethrower-wielding robots with a rifle, shooting the red barrels to overheat and stun them. Once stunned, approach the robot from behind to remove the Atomic Battery.
*Atomfall* is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.
