Free Fire, Garena's renowned mobile battle royale, is set to captivate fans once again at the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025 in Riyadh, boasting a staggering $1 million prize pool. As part of a multi-year partnership with EWC, Free Fire's presence is secured not only for 2025 but also for 2026, promising more thrilling esports action in the future.
From July 16th to 20th, 18 of the globe's top Free Fire squads will clash in a high-stakes competition. The event kicks off with a group stage, dividing teams into three groups of six. The best twelve teams will advance to the Point-Rush stage, leading into the Grand Final, where the champion will be determined using the match point format. Additionally, a $10,000 MVP bonus awaits the player with the standout individual performance throughout the tournament.
Last year's champions, Team Falcons, are back to defend their title after their remarkable victory at EWC 2024. Despite a sluggish start in the Point-Rush stage, they dominated in the finals with two clutch Booyahs, securing the trophy and earning a spot in the World Series in Rio.
Qualifiers are in full swing with the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Southeast Asia (SEA) concluding on June 14th, sending eight teams to Riyadh. Latin America (LATAM) will qualify two teams by June 1st, Brazil will send four by June 22nd, and one team each from Pakistan, the Free Fire Masters Cup (FF MSC), and Bangladesh will join the fray. Team Falcons, as defending champions, receive an automatic qualification.
