Final Fantasy XIV's Free Login Campaign Returns!
Square Enix has re-launched its popular Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy XIV, offering a four-day free trial to eligible players with inactive accounts. This opportunity runs until February 6th, 2025, and is available across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
The campaign, timed to coincide with the start of 2025, allows players a chance to revisit Eorzea at no cost. The four-day playtime clock begins the moment a player logs in through the game launcher.
Eligibility requirements include: a previously purchased and registered Final Fantasy XIV account, an inactive account status for at least 30 days prior to the campaign start (January 9th, 2025), and no prior account suspension or cancellation for violating terms of service. Players can verify their eligibility through the Mog Station.
This free access period arrives conveniently after the release of Patch 7.15, introducing new side quests within the Dawntrail expansion. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida's recent New Year's message confirmed upcoming Patches 7.2 and 7.3 for 2025, alongside smaller updates, and hinted at future Dawntrail storyline developments.
While major content updates are still on the horizon, the Free Login Campaign provides a perfect opportunity for lapsed players to rejoin the adventure and catch up on the Dawntrail storyline before the release of Patch 7.2. The Heavensturn event (until January 16th) and Patch 7.16 (January 21st, concluding the Dawntrail Role Quest series) further enrich the experience during this free period. The campaign ends February 6th, 2025, at 9:59 AM Eastern Time.
