The narrative of World of Warcraft: The War Within continues. Beyond the Siren Isle update, Season 2, anticipated later in 2025, promises fresh endgame content and the next chapter of this expansion. However, Patch 11.0.7 introduces several new story quests laying the groundwork for Patch 11.1, focusing on the Goblin capital, Undermine. A separate questline concludes the tragic destruction of Dalaran, though not immediately upon patch release.

Dalaran, a long-standing location in Warcraft lore, may never fully recover from the events of The War Within. The Dalaran Epilogue questline provides closure to this story, offering a fitting farewell to a crucial social hub in Wrath of the Lich King and Legion.

How to Begin the Patch 11.1 Prologue

Unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, the "Lingering Shadows" campaign is immediately accessible. Completion of the leveling or Level 80 campaign isn't required. However, catching up on the story beforehand is recommended to avoid spoilers and enhance understanding. The "Lingering Shadows" campaign includes:

• No Breathing Room
• Together, Alone
• The Voice
• Ringing in the Deeps
• Good Help These Days
• Hey, What's Going On?
• Haywired and Hostile
• Built to Blast

After "Found Friends," speak with Orweyna. While not part of the main campaign, her quest offers insights into future plot developments within The War Within or subsequent World Soul Saga expansions.

Initiating the Dalaran Epilogue in World of Warcraft: The War Within

Initially, a three-week delay was in place for the Dalaran Epilogue. As of January 7th, this wait is eliminated. To unlock this campaign, complete both the leveling campaign and the Level 80 campaign (requiring Renown Four with all four Khaz Algar factions).

If unsure about your progress, visit Foundation Hall (the prologue quest starting point for Patch 11.1). If Khadgar is present (post-January 7th), a quest will be available. His absence indicates unfinished campaign quests. The Dalaran Epilogue quest list follows:

Completing this unlocks the "Fate of the Kirin Tor" achievement and the "Witness of the Kirin Tor" title.
