Get ready for a thrilling event as CrazyGames launches the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 this week, running from April 25th to May 5th. This 10-day developer event, hosted in partnership with Photon, the world's leading multiplayer service provider, invites indie developers to dive into a global game development marathon focused on crafting innovative web-based multiplayer games.
Participants in the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 will have the chance to compete for a share of €10,000 in cash prizes and premium Photon licenses. The prizes include:
- 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (€7,500 value)
- 500 CCU for a year (€1,500 value)
- 100 CCU for a year (€100 value)
The only strict guidelines for the event are that games must be developed and submitted during the jam period and must adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these requirements, developers are encouraged to unleash their creativity and innovation.
Since its inception in 2014, CrazyGames has become the go-to platform for free online gaming, leveraging HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGL technologies to deliver smooth, browser-based gaming experiences for thousands of titles. In collaboration with Photon, CrazyGames will offer support throughout the event and provide winners with the opportunity to have their games published on its platform.
To kick things off, a pre-jam livestream will be held on YouTube and LinkedIn on April 24th at 4 pm CEST. This session will introduce two new WebGL platforms, Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Head of Growth at Photon Engine, shared his enthusiasm, stating, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world's most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a great opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to game developers of all experience levels. For more details and to sign up, visit the official jam page.
