Call of Duty: Warzone Experiencing Lobby Crashing Issue

Call of Duty: Warzone players are experiencing game freezes and crashes during loading screens, sometimes resulting in undeserved penalties. While a permanent fix is still under development, developers have implemented a temporary solution.

This issue, first reported on January 6th, 2025, caused significant frustration among players due to the unfair penalties imposed for involuntary disconnections. The problem surfaced despite a major game update earlier in January.

In response, Raven Software announced on January 9th, 2025, a temporary suspension of Skill Rating (SR) penalties and timeouts for players disconnecting before joining Ranked matches. This addresses player concerns about unjust punishments stemming from the bug. Penalties will remain in effect for players leaving matches mid-game.

While this temporary fix alleviates the immediate impact, the underlying loading screen crash bug persists. The ongoing issue highlights the challenges faced by Raven Software in maintaining a stable and bug-free experience, particularly within the competitive Ranked mode. Players eagerly await a complete resolution.
