Akupara Games and Tmesis Studio's latest adventure game, Universe for Sale, is now available. Akupara Games has already released several captivating titles this year, including The Darkside Detective series and Zoeti.
Is the Universe Actually for Sale?
The game unfolds on a bizarre space station orbiting Jupiter, a location shrouded in acid rain and mystery. Orangutans with surprising intelligence work the docks, and cultists barter flesh for enlightenment. The universe itself is on the market, thanks to Lila, a woman with the unusual ability to conjure universes from her hand.
The game begins in the ramshackle mining colony where you play as the Master, a skeletal cultist from the Cult of Detachment. Your exploration of the colony, filled with quirky shops and tea houses, leads you to Honin's Tea House, Lila's establishment. The mystery surrounding Lila unfolds as you switch between her perspective and the Master's.
Playing as Lila allows you to create universes in a captivating mini-game, combining ingredients to generate stunning visual worlds. As the Master, you'll delve into the philosophies of the Cult of Detachment and encounter the Church of Many Gods.
The narrative unfolds gradually, prompting speculation about the overarching plot. Each character, whether human, skeletal, or robotic, possesses a unique story, and the richly detailed world invites exploration.
