Indie developer Sander Frenken has exciting news for strategy game enthusiasts: his new game, Battledom, is now in Alpha testing. As a spiritual successor to his 2020 tower defense hit, Herodom, Frenken has dedicated nearly two years to crafting this RTS-lite experience.
In Battledom, players can engage in dynamic RTS combat, moving units freely across the map. You'll have the power to target enemies strategically and unleash devastating attacks with siege weapons. The game introduces various battle formations, enhancing the strategic depth of your engagements.
To build your army, you'll use coins to recruit new units. Initially, these units come with basic weapons and no armor, but you have the flexibility to customize them. Equip your units with a variety of weapons and armor, each enhancing stats like range, accuracy, defense, and attack power, tailoring your army to your preferred playstyle.
Resource management plays a crucial role in Battledom. Rather than finding items during exploration, you'll need to gather resources like wood, leather, and coal within your village. Visit the blacksmith, magician, or other crafters to create essential items, adding a layer of depth to your gameplay experience.
Sander Frenken, renowned for Herodom, which holds a stellar 4.6 rating on the App Store, brings his expertise to Battledom. Herodom offered players over 55 heroes to collect, more than 150 units and siege weapons, and historically inspired battles. As you progress, you can unlock new hairstyles, bodies, crops, and animals for your farm, enriching the game's world.
