Best Dungeon Leveling Classes Ranked

Author: Ellie Dec 03,2025

Determining the strongest class in Dungeon Leveling involves several factors, such as early, mid, and late-game performance, solo capability versus team synergy, and PVP versus PVE effectiveness. This tier list will primarily rank classes for PVE based on their overall utility in mid to late-game parties, with occasional notes on solo viability. Here is my Dungeon Leveling class tier list.

This Dungeon Leveling tier list ranks classes from S-Tier to C-Tier based on their overall power and how essential they are for mid-to-late game content. Keep in mind, highest damage doesn't automatically mean best class. While the Wizard has the highest damage potential, without a Healer or Tank, a party will likely fail before completing a raid. This list focuses on PVE rather than PVP, and ranking justifications are provided for each class. Additionally, new players are encouraged to simply pick a class that appeals to them, and not worry about tier lists until reaching later stages of the game. For solo players, I'll also comment on how effective each class is for playing alone.

S-Tier Dungeon Leveling Classes

ClassRanking ReasonIs It Good for Solo?

Tank
In the late game, a Tank is essential to taunt and stun groups of enemies, pulling them away from the DPS and Healer so these roles can perform their jobs effectively. As in any MMORPG, you need to relieve pressure, and Tanks create the necessary breathing room for your team to reposition, deal damage, and recover. They are also the most durable class; once you acquire Life Steal, you become nearly unkillable. After getting Life Steal, this becomes a viable solo class if you can gather enemies in one spot to stun and damage them. Note that your damage output is lower than the Warrior's.

Healer
The Healer is in a similar situation as the Tank. While you can manage without one early on, a Healer becomes an absolute necessity in the mid to late-game. Enemy AOE attacks will inevitably hit your team, potions will run out, and a dedicated Healer is required in every raid to sustain and protect your party members.Definitely not.

A-Tier Dungeon Leveling Classes

ClassRanking ReasonIs It Good for Solo?

Wizard
This class offers the highest DPS in the game, thanks to incredible base spell damage and massive AOE abilities. Fireball and Lightning Chain are particularly effective, allowing the Wizard to easily out-damage Warriors, Assassins, and Rangers. However, you are heavily dependent on your Tank to create opportunities for this damage, and your potential increases dramatically with subclasses. The Wizard is excellent for solo play in the early game, able to eliminate groups of enemies quickly. Towards the late game, however, the lack of a tank makes solo play more challenging.

Warrior
The Warrior offers the perfect balance of solid DPS and good survivability with Life Steal. You have innate Life Steal, and can also acquire more from other sources to become a powerful frontline asset. While your damage is lower than a Wizard's, you are far more useful than an Assassin or Ranger in supporting your Tank and protecting your Wizard. One of the top solo classes due to built-in life steal, strong close-range AOE damage, and good durability.

B-Tier Dungeon Leveling Classes

ClassRanking ReasonIs It Good for Solo?

Assassin
I have been in parties with highly skilled Assassins who truly demonstrate the class's potential, making it much more skill-dependent than others. While you possess powerful skills, your low sustain and defense require smart positioning and execution to achieve A or S-Tier value. Otherwise, the class underperforms and can drop to C-Tier.One of the most entertaining classes for solo play, but it requires skill to use abilities effectively and consumes a lot of Mana. It becomes weaker if you run out of Mana potions, or you will spend a lot of time waiting for Mana to regenerate between rooms.

Ranger (Mid Game)
From early to mid-game, Rangers are fairly strong, providing good DPS and having a generally safe playstyle. However, they begin to fall behind in AOE effectiveness as content difficulty increases. If you master kiting and hit-and-run tactics, the Ranger can perform very well in solo runs during the early and mid-game. Similar to the Wizard, its solo effectiveness diminishes in the late game without a Tank.

C-Tier Dungeon Leveling Classes

ClassRanking Reason

Ranger (Late Game)
This is the weakest DPS class in the late game due to a lack of effective AOE damage. A Wizard can surpass your damage with a single spell, an Assassin offers higher damage with some multi-target capability, and the Warrior functions as an off-tank. While not the optimal choice, it remains a fun class to play.
