Okamoto highlighted that the game plays with the notion that extreme beauty can be unsettling, a theme players will experience through Hinako's eyes as she faces a decision that is both beautiful and terrifying.

Okamoto assured fans that Silent Hill f stands on its own as an independent story, welcoming newcomers while offering easter eggs for long-time fans. The game's writer, Ryukishi07, known for his psychological horror visual novels, brings his passion for the franchise to this project. Ryukishi07, a dedicated fan of the series, views Silent Hill f as a homage to the series' roots while pushing boundaries by setting the game outside the titular town.

He expressed confidence in their creation, stating, "From a creator’s standpoint, I feel I can confidently say that what we’ve made is a Silent Hill game. However, we’re eager to see how the series' long-time fans will react after playing it."
