Larian Seeks Players for Baldur

Larian Studios has announced that the stress test for Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 will begin in January. This test will be available on PC via Steam, and on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Mac and GOG users will not have access to this stress test. Interested players can register now via the currently active interest registration form.

Larian plans to thoroughly test Patch 8 for bugs and gameplay issues before its official release. They've invited players to participate, stating, "With your help, we’ll be able to keep an eye on any funny business." A key focus of this stress test is cross-play functionality. Larian acknowledges the complexity of implementing cross-play in a game of Baldur's Gate 3's scale and encourages players to test and provide feedback. Players are encouraged to share the registration link with friends or join the Larian Studios Discord Server to find others for cooperative play.

While Patch 8 marks the final major update for Baldur's Gate 3, Larian assures continued support for modders. Significant updates are planned to enhance modding capabilities, allowing players to create and share their own stories. Since the release of official modding tools in September, players have downloaded over 70 million modules and uploaded over 3,000 mods, demonstrating the game's vibrant modding community.
