The Kinetic Blade, a fan-favorite melee weapon from Chapter 4 Season 2, returns to Fortnite Battle Royale in Chapter 6 Season 1 (Fortnite Hunters). This guide covers how to find and effectively use the Kinetic Blade, helping you decide if it's superior to the newly introduced Typhoon Blade.

Locating the Kinetic Blade

The Kinetic Blade appears as floor loot in both Battle Royale Build and Zero Build modes. It can also be found within standard and Rare chests. However, its current drop rate is relatively low, and the absence of dedicated Kinetic Blade stands (unlike the Typhoon Blade) further reduces its availability.

Mastering the Kinetic Blade

The Kinetic Blade is a high-impact melee weapon. Unlike the Typhoon Blade, which requires sprinting for speed, the Kinetic Blade utilizes a Dash Attack. This lunge attack inflicts 60 damage upon impact and can be chained up to three times before needing a recharge.

Alternatively, the Knockback Slash deals 35 damage and sends opponents reeling. A well-timed Knockback Slash can result in fall damage, potentially leading to an elimination. Choose your attack wisely depending on the situation and opponent positioning.
