Crashlands 2 has just unleashed a significant update, version 1.1, and Butterscotch Shenanigans, the game's creators, have introduced a plethora of new features and challenges that fans of the original Crashlands have eagerly awaited. Let's dive into what's new in this exciting update.
What's in Store in Crashlands 2 Update 1.1?
The introduction of Legend Mode brings a new level of challenge to the game, surpassing even the intensity of the Challenge Mode. Players will encounter enemies on Woanope that are not only quicker and more aggressive but also boast significantly larger HP bars. Meanwhile, Flux Dabes becomes more vulnerable, adding an extra layer of difficulty. While there are no additional achievements specifically for Legend Mode, completing it will automatically unlock all achievements from lower difficulty levels, providing a rewarding experience for those who conquer this mode.
For those who prefer a more relaxed gameplay experience, Explorer Mode is now available. This mode significantly reduces combat intensity, allowing players to focus on farming mushrooms, building charming homes, and fishing without the constant threat of enemy encounters. It's the perfect setting to immerse yourself in the story, decorate your base, and enjoy the quirky and fascinating characters of Crashlands 2.
One of the most anticipated features is the return of The Compendium. Responding to player feedback since the game's launch, The Compendium meticulously tracks everything Flux discovers, including the number of pets, recipes, and items you still need to collect to reach your goals.
Pets Also Got a Bit of an Upgrade
With Update 1.1, pets in Crashlands 2 have been enhanced to contribute actively during combat. Each pet now comes with a unique special ability that can be activated every 20 seconds, adding a strategic element to battles. Additionally, gear crafting has been diversified, with new random bonus stats on armor, alongside a variety of new gadgets, weapons, and trinkets to explore.
The update also includes numerous quality of life improvements. Players can now build on a broader range of terrain, customize the location of their home teleporter, and adjust the night-time darkness settings, enhancing the overall gameplay experience.
Crashlands 2 is available for download on the Google Play Store. Launched on April 10th, this update demonstrates Butterscotch Shenanigans' commitment to listening to and acting on player feedback.
