Splatoon Feature in Nintendo's Summer 2024 Magazine
Splatoon's Iconic Music Groups Unite
Nintendo's Summer 2024 Magazine, primarily distributed in Japan, dedicates six pages to exploring Splatoon's fictional music groups:
- Deep Cut - The idol trio Shiver, Big Man, and Frye
- Off The Hook - The dynamic duo Pearl and Marina
- Squid Sisters - The iconic pop pair Callie and Marie
In "The Great Big Three-Group Summit" interview, the artists discuss music collaborations, festival performances, and their journeys throughout the Splatoon series.
Callie fondly recalls Deep Cut giving Squid Sisters an unforgettable tour of the Splatlands region. "That natural beauty of Scorch Gorge was breathtaking! I'll never forget squeezing through Hagglefish Market crowds or marveling at the towering buildings," she reminisced.
"We know Splatlands better than anyone," Shiver responded proudly.
Marie teased her bandmate, suggesting Callie might cry remembering their adventures. She then invited Off The Hook to resume their regular teatime gatherings. "We're overdue!" Marina agreed, proposing they try Inkpolis Square's newest sweets shop.
"You're invited too, Frye," Pearl added. "We'll settle our karaoke rematch!"
