After completing the main quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you can continue to engage with nearly all the activities available before the credits rolled. The game features a vast open world set in Feudal Japan, filled with side content that remains accessible post-main quest. This means you can freely explore and experience everything the world has to offer.
Additionally, Ubisoft plans to introduce new weekly challenges through the Animus post-launch, providing even more content for players to enjoy, even after achieving 100% completion.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained
Even after the credits roll, your journey in Assassin’s Creed Shadows might not be over. In my playthrough, the credits appeared after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board and the main quests for Yasuke and Naoe. However, I had yet to unlock the trophy for finishing Act 3 or The Epilogue. To experience the true ending and epilogue, you must complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro, and then return to the Hideout to speak with Tomiko. This will unlock the complete ending and associated achievements.
Towards the end of the game, players can also earn exclusive gear themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke. These armor sets come with unique perks that enhance each protagonist’s playstyle and are designed to resonate with long-time fans of the Assassin’s Creed series.
As for endgame content, you can continue to level up your characters to the game’s maximum level cap, even after the credits.

While the main story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows concludes at launch, there's much more to anticipate. Ubisoft will add new content through the Animus, and the in-game store will likely receive updates with new items. Moreover, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is slated for release later in 2025. This DLC will introduce players to the Island of Awaji and offer over 10 hours of additional gameplay.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
