Among Us 3D brings first-person perspective to the social deception game

In 2022, Innersloth transformed the Among Us experience with its critically-acclaimed VR adaptation. The studio's latest innovation—Among Us 3D—shifts the gameplay into an immersive first-person view without requiring VR equipment.

A Fresh Perspective on Classic Gameplay

The new 3D version retains the beloved core mechanics while reworking them for standard gaming platforms. A recently released teaser reveals how tasks, emergency meetings, and sabotage actions gain new depth when experienced through each player's viewpoint. Early access will be available through a free demo during Steam's "Game On" festival.

While awaiting an official launch date, PC has been confirmed as the primary platform. The interface has been redesigned for keyboard/mouse controls with improved accessibility. Cross-play will connect Among Us 3D players with the VR version, though the original 2D game will maintain separate matchmaking.

Expanding Player Customization

Innersloth will soon introduce Stardust, a new in-game currency system. This addition will offer expanded cosmetic options, allowing deeper avatar personalization and new ways to engage with the evolving game universe.

Task completion takes on new dimensions in first-person view, requiring physical interactions with consoles and equipment. Suspicion mechanics gain intensity as players can now observe others' movements and behavior more closely during investigations.

The development team has prioritized maintaining the game's signature social deception elements while enhancing environmental details. Emergency meetings will feature improved visual indicators to help players analyze reported incidents more effectively.

Among Us 3D represents another bold step in Innersloth's commitment to evolving their multiplayer phenomenon, promising to deliver fresh excitement for both veteran Impostors and Crewmates alike.
