2K25 Delivers Major 2025 Update

NBA 2K25's Season 4 Prep: Patch 4.0 Delivers Visual and Gameplay Upgrades

NBA 2K25 has received a significant update, paving the way for Season 4's January 10th launch. This patch introduces a range of improvements, focusing on visual enhancements and gameplay refinements across various game modes.

Key improvements include updated player likenesses (featuring Stephen Curry and Joel Embiid), court adjustments (correcting the Los Angeles Clippers logo and Emirates NBA Cup court), and uniform updates reflecting current sponsor patches. These visual upgrades enhance the overall game realism.

Patch 4.0 significantly enhances gameplay with detailed shot feedback through a refined "Light Pressure" system (now categorized as Weak, Moderate, and Strong). Realism is further boosted by adjustments to ball-rim interaction, reducing excessively long rebounds. Defensive mechanics have been tweaked to prevent unfair disruptions of skill dunks, and the Offensive 3 Seconds rule has been added to 1v1 modes.

Performance and stability improvements are also included across various modes:

  • MyCAREER: Addresses progression issues, ensuring proper badge unlocks and preventing skipped NBA Cup games.
  • MyTEAM: Features visual updates to player cards and menus, along with fixes for saving Favorite Plays and challenge progression blockers.
  • MyNBA/The W: Includes stability enhancements, resolving issues such as NBA Cup simulation problems and league contraction.
  • City/Pro-Am: Offers performance and stability improvements for smoother gameplay.
