Record Your Catch

Create and submit catch records for English and Welsh-flagged vessels under 10 meters that operate in UK waters.

This service lets you create and send catch records for all English and Welsh under 10 metre (U10m) flagged vessels fishing in UK waters.

It is mandatory for all U10m flagged vessels to log their catches. This data supports UK fishing authorities in managing fishing quotas sustainably.

You may use this service if you are:

- a registered vessel owner

- a skipper

Registered vessel owners will get an invitation email. The timing of the invitation depends on the vessel size. Owners have one calendar month after receiving the email to register and begin using the service.

Skippers should contact the vessel owner to request an invitation.

If you belong to a producer organisation and lease quota, you should not use this online service. Please continue recording catches using a paper logbook.

This service replaces:

- the NEP1 form

- the MSAR1 form, although depending on your area, local IFCAs may ask for extra details

- the need to fill in a logbook while leasing fish quota or fishing across 2 ICES areas (currently IV4/VIId and VIId/VIIe)
