New Zenless Zone Zero Event Hinted in Latest Leak

A recent leak suggests Zenless Zone Zero's Version 1.5 update will feature a new event incorporating a Fall Guys-style multiplayer platformer game mode. This temporary event, tentatively titled "Grand Marcel," is expected to arrive alongside the update's other additions, including the characters Astra Yao and Evelyn.

Version 1.4, released in December, introduced two new playable characters and an S-Rank Bangboo, along with two permanent battle-focused modes. However, Zenless Zone Zero has a history of adding limited-time events with unique gameplay mechanics, such as the current "Bangboo vs Ethereal" tower defense event.

Leaker Palito shared screenshots showcasing the platformer stages, strongly resembling Fall Guys. While the mode's permanence remains unclear, it's anticipated to be exclusive to the "Grand Marcel" event. The playable characters within this mode are yet to be confirmed, but the event is likely to offer rewards including Polychromes and additional free pulls (as previously rumored).

This isn't HoYoverse's first foray into platformer events; Honkai Impact 3rd's 6.1 update in 2022 featured a similar "Midnight Chronicle" event. Given the popularity of Zenless Zone Zero's Bangboo, players may participate as chibi versions of existing characters or possibly even as Bangboo themselves.

Version 1.5, slated for January 22nd, will also introduce Astra Yao and Evelyn, and potentially Nicole's first character skin and an Agent Story for Ellen. The addition of a platformer game mode promises a refreshing change of pace from the game's core battle mechanics.
