Arise Crossover might seem like a simple game at first glance. You gather Shadow units, attack enemies (who can’t even fight back), and grow stronger until there’s nothing left to conquer. Easy enough, right? But we’ve made it all the way to the end of the game and witnessed many skilled players confused about how to keep progressing—where to level up, which Shadows to use, and more. If you're feeling stuck in that same loop, this guide is for you.
How Shadows Work in Arise Crossover

Each of the three islands in Arise Crossover features multiple recruitable Shadow units and one elite dungeon Shadow. At the start of the game, the weakest unit available is Soondoo, while Mifalcon—unlocked on Brum Island—is currently the strongest.
However, rank matters more than type. A Rank A Soondoo can outperform a Rank D Mifalcon. Higher-ranked units not only have better stats but also have higher level caps. For example:
- Rank D units max out at Level 75
- SS Rank units can reach up to Level 200
So, your ideal team would consist of four SS-ranked Mifalcons—but getting there takes time, strategy, and plenty of dungeon runs.

Dungeon portals spawn every 30 minutes and remain active for 15 minutes. Even if you enter just before it closes, you’ll still be able to complete the entire dungeon without interruption.
Portals appear randomly across each island and vary in difficulty. When starting out, build a team of Rank D units and tackle Rank D or C dungeons on Leveling Island. This will help you collect better units, including rare boss Shadows.
Dungeons are the only way to obtain Rare Units and common units above Rank C, so always jump at the chance when a portal opens.

If you see a new portal open, stand near it and wait for someone else to join. Many high-level players can solo these and are often happy to bring along lower-tier teammates. Use this to your advantage—it's one of the most effective ways to climb the ranks.
We were once boosted through a Rank A dungeon with Rank C units and managed to recruit top-tier Shadows that carried us into endgame content. Later, we paid it forward by helping others through Rank S dungeons. Be sure to do the same!
Arise Crossover Weapons

Currently in beta, weapons play a minimal role in combat effectiveness. Early on, they may provide a small damage boost, but once you reach the second island, their usefulness drops significantly.
Take the Iron Kando Blade, the most powerful common weapon in the game: it costs 60 million gold and deals 516.1K damage. Meanwhile, our units were already outputting between 200–400 million damage. Unless you’re swimming in currency, it’s best to hold off on investing in weapons until future updates improve their value.
How to Get a Mount in Arise Crossover

Wild mounts spawn every 15 minutes server-wide. Only one player can attempt to capture each mount, and a global message announces each spawn. However, there’s no alert when someone else claims or fails to claim it.
Mounts can spawn in six different locations: on major islands, in between them, and on smaller side islands. Check the official Trello map for exact spawn points.

You cannot claim the same mount twice, and capture attempts can fail. Flying mounts are the rarest, with only a 10% spawn chance. Ground mounts appear frequently, and water mounts can be purchased from the Boat Shop NPC.
If you want a mount, respond quickly to the server message and scout all six spawn points. If you miss it, just wait for the next spawn—we’re still waiting for our flying mount too. While mounts aren't essential for progression, they definitely make traveling faster and more convenient.
That’s everything you need to know to get started in Arise Crossover. As the game continues to evolve, we’ll update this guide accordingly. In the meantime, check out the latest [ttpp] for some exclusive free rewards.
