Peglin, Free It's not often I start with the coveted UMMSotW award, but Peglin earns it with its 1.0 update. You can now challenge up to level 20 in Cruciball, face off against a new Slime Hive mini-boss, and enjoy a slew of tweaks, bug fixes, balance adjustments, and other enhancements. While Peglin didn't need much updating, I'm thrilled to see these improvements.

Brawl Stars, Free It's Brawl Stars time! The excitement is palpable with the arrival of SpongeBob in a new event. New Brawlers Moe (Mythic) and Kenji (Legendary) are joining the fray, along with several new Hypercharges for various characters. These updates will roll out over the next couple of months, but the SpongeBob event should kick off soon, if it hasn't already by the time you read this.

stitch., The soothing and satisfying stitch game gets even better with more Hoops to play, this time featuring a martial arts theme. The theme of the puzzles matters less than the fun they bring, and with this update, you'll have plenty more to enjoy. Update your app and get ready to feel better with each Hoop you complete.

Genshin Impact, Free The much-anticipated Genshin Impact: Natlan Launch is here, introducing the new region of Natlan and three new characters: Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina. New weapons, events, stories, and artifacts are also part of this update. While it's a larger update than usual, it remains consistent with the high standards set by previous Genshin Impact updates.

Temple Run: Puzzle Adventure, Available on Apple Arcade, this matching puzzle game update brings 100 new levels to the Temple Run spin-off. The tournaments have also been refreshed, ensuring plenty of fresh content for players. This update should keep you entertained until the next one, though I've seen how quickly players can go through levels!

Jetpack Joyride 2, This special update for the Apple Arcade sequel to Halfbrick's mega-hit auto-runner sees Barry Steakfries escaping to SPACE—the one place not corrupted by capitalism. Tim Curry, a true treasure, has graced us with his performances, and I'm sure he's reading this with a smile.

Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop, Another matching puzzle game, but a legendary one at that. The update brings new character episodes for Sig, Carbuncle, and Rafisol in Adventure Mode, with Meena joining as a playable character. Seven new music tracks are available in the shop, and bug fixes round out the update.

Hearthstone, Free Hearthstone brings us Battlegrounds Season 8, Trinkets & Travels. The Trinket Shop replaces Buddies, allowing you to buy Trinkets twice per game with Gold, which can affect the rest of the match. It's a new twist that might challenge the game's balance, but it's all part of Hearthstone's evolving gameplay.

Toon Blast, Free The first of the obligatory free-to-play matching puzzle game updates is Toon Blast, featuring a new episode with 50 levels. It's all about bees and happiness, which is a charming combination. Bees are incredible creatures that help our ecosystem, and I'd give them tiny hugs if not for their stingers. Royal Match, Free The eternal question: Should King Robert perish permanently or return to suffer again? This update brings 100 new levels and a new jousting arena, adding excitement to the mix. The ad with King Robert swapped for the freezing pregnant lady and her child is a hilarious twist, but I say burn those velvet robes, King Robert, and keep warm!
