Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl boasts a diverse arsenal, letting players select weapons suited to their playstyle. Beyond standard firearms, unique weapon variants with special modifications or increased power exist, including the Cavalier sniper rifle. This unique weapon, featuring a red-dot sight instead of a traditional scope, excels at short to medium ranges. Here's how to acquire it.
Acquiring the Cavalier Sniper Rifle
The Cavalier is located near the Military Unit within the Duga base. It's found in a warehouse connected to a greenhouse. If you've previously retrieved the Journalist stash, accessing the base via the secondary entrance should be straightforward.
Accessing the Warehouse
Upon entering Duga, proceed towards the Military Unit (marked on your map). Circumvent the building to reach the rear greenhouse. Beware of two Pseudogiants patrolling the area; they'll attack on sight. Carefully approach the greenhouse to avoid confrontation.
Inside the greenhouse, you'll find the warehouse. Entering triggers a rat infestation. Climb onto the elevated green platforms at the warehouse's rear to avoid the rats' attacks. Alternatively, use a grenade to eliminate them.
Retrieving the Cavalier
After clearing the rats, examine the warehouse ceiling above the greenhouse entrance. You'll see yellow-painted wooden boards. Shoot these boards with your weapon to dislodge the Cavalier sniper rifle.
Retrieve the weapon and exit Duga safely. The Cavalier can be upgraded by Screw, the technician at Rostok base. Its high damage and accuracy are further enhanced with upgrades and modifications. The red-dot sight makes it ideal for close to medium-range engagements for players who prefer not to use scopes on their sniper rifles.
