Sonic Rumble Pre-Release Event Features Monkey Ball, Altered Beast

While the worldwide release of Sonic Rumble is set for May 8th, the excitement is already building with a pre-release crossover event that promises to bring a blast from the past. This isn't just any crossover; it's a celebration of Sega's iconic characters from yesteryears and today, all joining the rumble!

This unique event kicks off before the global launch, likely accessible to those in regions where Sonic Rumble is currently in soft launch. From now until May 7th, you can claim the Werewolf character, inspired by the classic Altered Beast, absolutely free.

If you're a subscriber to the Sega Star Event Pass, you're in for a treat. You'll unlock the Weredragon, another character from Altered Beast, along with Sega's original mascot, Opa-Opa from the beloved arcade game Fantasy Zone.

But that's not all! The in-game Ring Shop will feature additional characters like Upa-Upa and the Werebear. Meanwhile, the Red Star Ring Shop will offer characters from Super Monkey Ball, including AiAi and MeeMee, for purchase.

It's certainly unconventional to have such an event before the official release, but if you're among the fortunate ones with access during the soft launch, you'll surely be eager to get your hands on these legendary characters.

Sega assures us that this is just the beginning. They have a packed calendar of crossovers and collaborations lined up for Sonic Rumble, promising a continuous stream of excitement and nostalgia.
